Fishing for dreams

Thanks to the warm temperatures and ocean currents that create the Trade Winds, the waters around the Canary Islands are full of a huge range of both resident and migratory marine life.

Species such as blue sharks, barracuda, hammerheads, makos, wahoo and swordfish... live around the Canary Islands throughout the year.

Others, such as the much sought after blue marlin, bluefin tuna and white marlin migrate past the islands.
